10 Simple Tips to Succeed in an Interview:

1. Do Some Homework: Once you get shortlisted for an interview, always do a background check about the organization where you are appearing for an interview. Invariably the interviewer will ask if you are aware about the organization.

2.Take some time to go through the Job Description and the Post applied for: It always makes sense to be aware of he details of the job you have have applied for and the expectations from the job. Most Importantly remember the Post you have applied for. Also it is very essential for a match between your skill sets/experience and the job requirement.

3.You are what You are: Realize that you are what you are. Never say anything about yourself which is beyond your skill set. This could prove to be detrimental in the long run.

4.Personality matters: If you are a Man be dressed for the occasion, well groomed, hair neatly combed, formal wear, nicely polished shoes, clean shaven-If you are a woman then ensure that you are dressed in formal wear, not too much of make up. A Strick NO NO would be don't have onions/garlic before an interview, Put on some pleasing perfume/ body deodrant not too strong that can put off an interviewer .

5. Be Punctual: Being Punctual helps in may ways. it helps you to familiarize with the sorroundings, besides sending the right kind of vibes to the prospective employer that you value time of not only yours but others as well. Being 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled time of interview does help.

6. Be Confident: Remember that the prospective employer is as much interested in you as you are keen to land the job. The Interviewer only wants to know more about you and whether you would be the best fit for the job. So being confident is always good and being nervous never helps. There is no monster out there but just another human being like you doing his job.

7. Money is important but never so important: Give due importance to the pay package but do not show overt importance that it gives an impression to the interviewer that you are in it only for the money and not as much for the job.

8. Remain Updated with Current Affairs: Be well abreast with the going ons around you in your own country and around the world. It helps in putting across a point that you are a knowledgeable person.

9. Update your social media skills: the trend in the coming years is that a lot of organizations give due importance to the kind of person your are in social media circles like linkedin/facebook/twitter. It gives a lot of insight into the kind of person you are.

10. Last but not the least come across as a cheerful, confident and smart personality who knows what he is talking about.
